Special FX Makeup: Creating a Character
Makeup and Prosthetics For Screen

During this session, students will learn how to create makeup effects similar to those in THE SHAPE OF WATER. Prosthetic use will be demonstrated. Students will learn how to recreate the look at home on a budget using what can be found locally in stores. How special FX makeup is created for a character on a movie set, film versus stage makeup, and bruising in films will also be discussed. Students may be able to apply makeup to a provided model and assist with prosthetic placement.  No makeup will be applied to students in this session.
